The Euro

European countries have agreed to end all their currencies and replace them with the Euro. Using the Euro means that people can go all throughout Europe without having to exchange money. The Euro is helping bring an era of peace, cooperation and unit y.

Using the Euro means opening a door to peace; it is also opening a door to global unification. As differences between nations disappear their similarities bring them closer together. The project of creating the Euro illustrates countries' abilities t o join and work well together.

Many people have resisted the Euro. Many people feel they will lose a tradition if they lose their currency. When I last visited France and Germany I brought back over ten US dollars in both currencies as memorabilia. I am keeping the currency to re member how it was but, the money I have will never be converted. This money will never be a part of the European economy again. I assume that many other tourists and even native Europeans have done the same. Many people are saving the money because of the rarities they will become. Other people save the money because they don't believe in the Euro.

The Euro will have problems with inflation and deflation. These problems are a small price to pay for the benefits of having the Euro. The Euro is establishing European cooperation. Europe is becoming stronger due to the peace and cooperation growin g in the constituent countries.

To support the Euro is to support peace. To support the Euro is to support cooperation. To support the Euro is to ask for unification. So please support the Euro by asking for it and using it.
