The Form of Government

A Dictatorship?

Now it seems that if we had a leader who we elected who would have sole control over the Global nation, that his or her power would be absolute. If his or her power was absolute than the leader could declare that his or her term would last till death. Furthermore he or she could declare that a person of his or her own choosing would be the next to rule the global nation. This type of power would most likely lead away from the people's rights and freedoms because, the dictator could then declare what ever suited him or her self. In many instances the dictator's choices would not coincide with what the majority of the people want.

A Senate of Representatives?

The next possible type of government to look at would be a senate of representatives of the nation states. These representatives who would be elected would then be able to declare that their terms would last till death. This senate could also go further by saying that each member would be replaced by a person of his or her own choosing. Again this seems to be a type of government that would work for themselves. If further looked at, it is possible even to say that they would have all the people do as those few "representatives" wanted. In many ways that defeats the representational government's purpose, that of being representatives of the people.

Judges?

A third possible government would be a government in which all the rules were laid out and then judges would be selected to implement them. As the times change a need for new laws will occur. The Judges would have no power to create such laws. As an example, imagine if this was done with a country before guns were invented. If a gun law or regulation was necessary to keep children from buying guns the judges could not make one. So yet again we must move on to another form of government.

A President and a Senate?

Another possible government would be one in which there was one elected leader and a body of representatives. If such a government was formed than it would be unlikely that the two groups would agree to have terms of office that lasted till death because, they would want to fight for the support of the people. To fight for the support of the people they would pass laws that were helpful to the people. Although this fighting is possible, it would not nessacrily last forever. In the end, the leader and the body of representatives would form a selfish alliance so that they can best get what they want.

A President and Judges?

Yet another possible government would be one in which there was an elected official with a group of judges. If these judges were elected people who had not trained their entire lives to be a judge would become judges. This would happen because, the people vote for who the like, and think will be helpful. The people would not vote for judges who were well trained because, the people who know the laws the best are not always the ones who seem the best to vote for. If the elected leader choose the judges than the judges would be the people most likely to stand by the elected leader.

A Senate and Judges?

The sixth possible form of government would be a government with judges and a senate of representatives. The same problems will occur with this form of government as the ones that appeared in the form of government with judges and an elected leader. These problems will occur because, the senate of representatives would work as one entity. Such an entity would obviously want to protect and tend it it's own interests. Yet again we have not found a suitable government.

A President with a house of representatives and a Supreme Court?

The next possible government would be one that had an elected leader, a representational body, and a court system of Judges. Since most people are familiar with the United States, which has this form of government we should analyze it's government. It has a series of checks and balances that are made to keep all three branches of government equal in power. These checks and balances have failed because of the political party system that now exists in the United States. The President belongs to a specific political party which he has allegiance to. Almost all members of the United States House of Representatives are members of a political party in which they have allegiance to. To stay a member of a party a person must do the bidding of that party. If a United States politician loses the support of a party, then they lose the powerful backing of the party that usually gets a member into office, therefore the politician will do the bidding of the party. The United States is currently dominated by two political parties, that of the Democrats and that of the Republicans. If the house of representatives has a majority of a specific party then that party's views will be the ones used to make decisions. The judges in the United States do have life long terms, and so they do not need the support of a political party after they have a position as a judge. So it can be said that the house of representatives and the president are only puppets of their political party.

The Problem of Political Parties

If the United States house of representatives and the president are of the same party then, they will do as there party asks. In effect such a time would put two-thirds of the United States government under the power of one political power. The United States would then be a dictatorship headed by the political party. Such a dictatorship would work for it's own self interests, and not the interests of the people. To get around such a problem a law would have to be made. This law would have to be a law that could not be taken out by the president or by the house of representatives. This law would forbid all global nation office candidates and holders from being a part of a political party whether membership was or was not secret. The law would also have to prevent office holders and candidates from being part of a political party that is disguised with a title that differs from that of political party.

Conclusion

So finally the possibility has occurred to conclude this essay by stating that the form of government should have a house of representatives, a president and a system of judges. This three branch government must have a law that prevents political parties from being formed. To further see acclaim of this type of government please read the Federalist Papers by James Madison. Also the possibility exists to read that George Washington had warned the United States to stay away from political parties, therefore concluding this essay.
