Finally, summer is over! Soon my favorite season will be upon us!
I just wrote a short story about the Seattle airport for a creative writing class. I’m double checking with the professor I can re-use content I make for that class.
Both the Seattle Tacoma airport and the convention center had multi-stall all gender bathrooms! My fiction is Seattles reality, at least for now. I think their design could use a little improvement though:
There was a set of bathrooms between the lobby and the expo floor. The sign was simply a toilet icon and an accessibility icon. My impression was that it was for one (or more) accessible bathrooms which should be prioritized for folks with disabilities but in fact there were two or three multi-stall bathrooms behind the door, which had no way to automatically open.
Improvements for this specific bathroom:
It should have also had words to indicate what was inside (Changing table, Urinals, Accessible Stalls, etc).
I think the airport had a section with urinals but the convention center only had toilet stalls.
